Content Guidelines
Last updated: 29 August 2026
One set of rules, applied the same way to everyone who publishes here. They exist so that what you find on a profile can be trusted, and so nobody is competing against people cutting corners.
These guidelines sit alongside our Terms and Contributor Agreement, which set out the binding obligations.
What belongs here
Martial arts and combat sports instruction — technique, drilling, sparring, conditioning, competition preparation.
Fitness coaching — strength, conditioning, mobility, and general physical preparation.
Structured programmes, technique libraries, live sessions, and individual feedback on student footage.
Teach safely
Students follow your instruction unsupervised, often alone at home, sometimes with an untrained partner. Write for that reality.
Give a warm-up, or say plainly that one is required.
Flag techniques that need a qualified partner, supervision, or matting — chokes, throws, joint locks, heavy sparring.
Name the level a piece of content is for, and do not assume experience the student may not have.
Tell students to stop if they feel pain, dizziness, or breathlessness.
Do not present yourself as giving medical, physiotherapy, or nutritional advice unless you are qualified to do so.
Be honest about who you are
State your real experience. Belts, titles, fight records, and certifications must be genuine and current.
Do not imply affiliation with a gym, federation, or fighter who has not agreed to it.
If you are teaching outside your own discipline, say so.
People in your content
Everyone identifiable must have agreed to appear on a public platform.
Children in class footage need written consent from a parent or guardian, held by you and produced on request. A minor must never be the main subject of your content, and never identified by full name, school, or club location.
Training partners and students consent before you publish footage of them, not after.
Claims and results
Before-and-after images need the subject's consent, and must be genuine — same lighting, same framing, no digital alteration.
Do not present an exceptional result as typical, or guarantee a weight, physique, belt, or fight outcome.
If a result involved anything beyond the training you are describing, say so.
Nutrition and supplements
General guidance is fine. Individual dietary prescription requires a relevant qualification.
No extreme calorie restriction, rapid weight-cutting protocols presented as safe, or anything resembling disordered eating.
Disclose sponsorships, discount codes, and affiliate arrangements.
Never present a supplement as treating, preventing, or curing a medical condition.
What is not allowed
Sexually explicit content. This is a coaching platform.
Violence outside legitimate martial arts instruction — real fights presented as entertainment, street altercations, or content glorifying harm.
Hateful, harassing, or discriminatory content, including toward other members of the platform.
Content you do not hold the rights to — footage, music, or programmes belonging to someone else.
Techniques presented without regard for the injury they can cause.
Directing students to pay you off-platform to avoid fees.
How we enforce this
Reports are reviewed by a person, not automatically. Depending on what we find we may ask you to amend content, remove it, restrict your account, suspend a rank verification while a rights or safety complaint is resolved, or close the account for serious or repeated breaches.
Where content is removed we tell you what rule it broke. If you think we got it wrong, reply and a different reviewer will look at it.
Copyright complaints and takedown requests: see section 10 of our Terms.
